Two Months Of Work – Diet Is Key!

ab avi 8Since yesterday was Halloween, I went to yoga instead of seeing Trainer Man. That way I was able to get home faster to take The Kid trick or treating. I didn’t have my body fat and measurements taken but I did take the updated progress picture.

I’ve been faithfully taking the weekly pictures so I didn’t want to get off on the dates for those. It’s been 8 weeks now since I started the weekly pictures. I’ve worked hard and haven’t missed any workouts or cardio. There have been weeks where the diet wasn’t as on track as it should have been though. It’s definitely true when they say abs are made in the kitchen not in the workout.

I’ve done three days straight of the hot yoga. Believe it or not, I think I’m actually stiffer than before. I’m not sure if I just feel that way or if it’s true. I thought yoga was supposed to loosen you up. That’s the purpose of me taking it. Does it get worse before it gets better?

Last night’s class was rough. I clenched and made funny faces as I tried to get into the poses. I huffed and puffed while trying desperately to hold them. It wasn’t pain, but it was a shaking struggle. I also did a few practice lunges and I’m very stiff. Eeek! Hopefully it does get better. I’m going to keep at it and see!

Since it’s been 8 weeks, I created a Before and After picture to compare the progress pictures side by side. I don’t think there was much progress towards a 6 pack but I’ll keep trying. My arms, legs, and back half are showing changes. I’ve been told abs are the last place to lose fat.

My new mantra is “Diet is key!” I must remember this going through the holidays. :-O
