Jenny – Online Training and Nutrition Client

workout-shoes-client-testimonialJenny was an online training and nutrition client located in Canada who was already quite active with workouts and activity when she contacted me for help with her training and nutrition. She was planning her upcoming wedding and naturally wanted more free time to enjoy that fun while improving her body.

She wanted to cut back on the time she was spending in the gym, find more of a balance with life and health, and improve her approach with food. She loved the strength in her lower body and her cardio conditioning, but she wanted more strength and definition in her upper body for her wedding dress.

Since she was spending so much time in the gym and focused on nutrition, it was important to put focus to her efforts. More doesn’t always mean better, and by giving structure to her workouts we were able to give her more time outside of the gym for other things she loved.

We also made a few changes to her nutrition to relax her mindset. She started with the worry of not tracking every detail accidentally undoing her progress. After some experimenting, we were able to find a balance that worked for her with putting healthy meals together within her calories while still enjoying fun foods and socializing.

She went from being afraid to try new things to actively seeking out different veggies, recipes and exercise variations. Read what she has to say about working with me and the results she saw with her training experience and nutrition programming.

1. What’s something that you’d like me to start or stop doing?
I don’t think there is anything more you can do, you are straight up and honest, you listen to your clients needs, you are there for support 24/7, and you always have logic and reasons as to why you are choosing the programs and exercises you are using. I couldn’t have been more happier with my progress with you and with how you run your online coaching business. It exceeded my expectations big time.

2. What’s one thing that you’d like me to keep doing?
I enjoy your frequent emails, that way it keeps me accountable and you always have so much knowledge to share, whether it is about nutrition, or exercising. The fact that you are so readily available to answer questions and offer guidance and support is absolutely awesome!

3. Can you describe any reservations that you had before we started working together?
I had a previous online coach who was terrible, she didn’t reply to emails, and didn’t give much support when needed, so I had a lot of worry when hiring a new coach that I would end up wasting my money and in the same boat. Adrianne assured me I wouldn’t be wasting my money and she was not only able to, but wanting to help me reach my goals. I was worried I would be given exercises I don’t like.

4. Can you explain how I was able to help you with your reservations?
If there was exercises I was uncomfortable with or didn’t want to do, Adrianne found other ones I could do that would work the same muscles. She also encouraged me to try new exercises and to step out of my comfort zone, I am so glad I did, because I had no idea I had the ability to do some of these things, nor did I know how strong I actually was! I absolutely loved that there was no thinking involved, I just printed off my weekly workouts, the weights and reps were all there for me, I just had to show up, record what I did, and pass it along! Amazing and so easy! She exceeded my expectations in regards to nutrition, she has so much knowledge and was able to help me in so many ways, and help me with my mindset, which is huge for me!

5. Can you describe your 1-2 top goals when you started?

  • Lose body fat
  • Get my nutrition under control

6. Can you list your achievements with training thus far?

  • I can lift a lot heavier than I thought I could!
  • Exercises I thought were scary, are now part of my normal, everyday routine in the gym.
  • Getting completely out of my comfort zone and having fun with it
  • Learning to use the smith machine – now it’s my new favorite! And before all this, I wouldn’t even go near it!
  • It still blows my mind, that all of this was accomplished without Adrianne ever being in the gym with me! Amazing!

7. Is there anything else at all that you’d like to add?
Adrianne was top notch! I am very fortunate to have met her, even though she was my trainer and nutrition coach, we became friends and got to really know each other. I really trusted her, she had a lot of knowledge in regards to exercise and nutrition. There are many little things that I would never have thought of that she pointed out to me. The way she words things – just seemed to “click” for me. She always had an answer for every question I had, and she went above and beyond to help me get my nutrition under control. I know she didn’t have to do as much as she did for me, and for that, I am very grateful.

It has been a wonderful 20 weeks with her, I not once dreaded my workouts, I was always super excited to send my weekly into her on Friday’s and couldn’t wait for the reply (which was always very prompt, I might add!). She held me accountable with my eating and workouts, which is exactly what I needed at this stage in the game– and I feel really good about it all. She has helped me find the confidence I needed to make the right choices, to get rid of the guilt, and the beginning of food freedom.

As for the training portion – she has taken me out of my comfort zone and has taught me many new exercises that I am excited to continue doing! She also taught me that I am a lot stronger than I gave myself credit for – and it’s always so exciting to load that bar up with all those plates – because I know I would never have attempted on my own!
