Meechie – Online Training and Nutrition Client

meechie_awardMeechie is an online training and nutrition client who has a winding fitness journey that reached a milestone this Fall. She’s a veteran who served our country and has always led an active life. While overseas, Meechie set her eyes on improving her physique and ultimately competing. Unfortunately her plan was delayed slightly when she received a breast cancer diagnosis about three years ago.

She took time to focus on her health and recovery, and continued to stay active in the gym. Meechie began working with me in March 2016 to take the first steps towards stage. I put together a 4 day lifting program with a focus on her weaker areas to build slightly for her goal of figure class. We also dialed in her nutrition to begin slowly losing body fat.

Meechie is a frequent traveler and foodie so this presented some challenges initially to figure out meals to order while on the road. With some trial and error, things fell into place and she saw steady losses. She worked hard in the gym, loved her Zumba and dog walks, and focused on consistent improvements.

She competed twice this Fall in Figure Class and took home several awards. In her August show, she received 1st place in Figure Novice and 3rd in Figure 40+. In her follow up September show, she received 2nd in Figure Masters, 3rd in Figure Novice, and 3rd in Figure Open Short. I’d call that a very successful first season and she was a joy to work with.meechie_backstage

Her favorite saying during our journey was “It’s all good!” Never anything but positivity from Meechie along the way. She’s continuing to build during her off season to come back for her next shows even stronger and is spreading the word about breast cancer awareness.

Read what she has to say about working with me and the results she saw with her training experience and nutrition programming.

1. What’s something that you’d like me to start or stop doing?
You are doing an awesome job! Keep doing what you’ve been doing! Again, your services as a fitness trainer have been phenomenal. I have no recommendations at this time.

2. What’s one thing that you’d like me to keep doing?
Everything! The followups to check on how I’m doing, quick responses to any questions I have, and constantly making yourself available anytime I call, are things I’d like you to keep doing.

3. Can you describe any reservations that you had before we started working together?
I didn’t have any reservations. I was just excited about the mental and physical transformation.

4. Can you explain how I was able to help you with your reservations?
Even though I had no reservations, you helped me by detailing answers to my questions to educate me and help me fully understand different parts of the process.

5. Can you describe your 1-2 top goals when you started?
My primary goal was to train and compete in a bodybuilding competition. I surpassed that and competed in two this year. My current goal is building mass during the post-competition phase.

6. Can you list your achievements with training thus far?

  • Competed in a bodybuilding competition
  • Developed a disciplined approach to nutrition
  • Gained extensive knowledge about the world of bodybuilding
  • I’ve shared my knowledge and experience with others
  • Others have been inspired to consider training for a competition through my journey

7. Is there anything else at all that you’d like to add?
I’d do this process all over again with Adrianne!
