Impulse Purchases Can Be A Good Thing

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

GroceriesI had to swing by the grocery store last night with the idea of picking up a movie. I ended up making some impulse purchases instead of actually getting a movie. The dang box had nothing that I was interested in seeing.

When I got my purchases home, I had to laugh since it shows how much I’ve changed over the last year.

The old me sample impulse purchases:

  • Chocolate cupcake(s) with vanilla frosting
  • Some kind of frozen pizza
  • Ben & Jerry’s Caramel Sutra
  • Tater tots
  • Diet coke (of course)
  • A box of mac and cheese
  • Random things from the end of the aisles that I had to walk past to checkout
  • Probably a candy bar from the actual checkout line

The new me impulse purchases:

  • Unsweetened almond milk
  • Spaghetti squash
  • Box of raisins (I need them for my homemade kefir!)
  • Apples
  • Butternut squash cubes
  • Vanilla ground coffee
  • Cinnamon
  • Blueberry Just Fruit Spread (for a Quest Kitchen creation)

What are your impulse purchases? Do you fall for the end of the aisle trick? Any changes in them lately?
