I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I’d love to learn how to play the violin and how to paint. After some encouraging words from a friend, I decided to just do it. No, I didn’t buy a violin. I stopped at the local artist store on the way home and bought a beginner’s acrylic paint set and a pack of canvases!
The set claims to have everything I need to get started – paints, brushes, pencils, erasers, practice canvases and more. Everything but the imagination I suppose. I’m the one to supply that. This is it. The new me will have no fear of failure. I’ve got this!
I’m going to paint something this weekend! Potentially something purple because purple is my favorite color and there’s just something soothing about it. It’s the color of royalty – Queen Adrianne. You just can’t possibly go wrong with it. It’s impossible.
The Kid has a band thing for 3 or 4 hours tomorrow afternoon so I should have some uninterrupted time to stare at a blank canvas paint purple shapes. After I tackle this, I need to get off my butt and start working on the other things on the list. One step at a time and before I know it, I’ll be certified and training people, painting things, playing violins, and embracing life!
Who’s with me?! Let’s do this! 🙂
