Woo doggie. This week got rough on the eating front. My calories dropped big time the last couple days, and it was all I could do last night to not shred the bread basket at dinner like the Tazmanian Devil. I sucked it up though by counting on today’s food festivities.
I set my mind last night that today was going to be a record breaker. My goal set by Trainer Man was to burn 1000 all in one shot. I did that last Saturday in 1 hour and 53 minutes of hard work. My own personal goal was to do it this morning in less time. As you can see from the blurry pic, I not only broke my record time but I crushed it by several minutes.
The new number to beat is 1 hour and 35 minutes. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to beat that time next week since this took just about everything I had in me. It felt great when I was done and I’ve had a sense of accomplishment all day.
The Kid and I picked up our race packets yesterday and we’re all ready for tomorrow morning’s Color Run. it was funny. The Kid looked at me and asked if running is now “our thing.” I’m not sure she’s thrilled with the idea but we’ll see after tomorrow. She’s excited about being coated with paint and not necessarily the running, but that’s OK. We can always find another thing to be “our thing” if we need to.
Tonight we dine at Fuddruckers! That’s my cheat dinner decision. A hamburger kid’s meal, fries, and a hot fudge sundae for dessert. I wonder if that’s what victory tastes like. 🙂 Have a great weekend and I’ll update you on the Color Run deets tomorrow!
