I’m a complete sucker for Krispy Kreme and their monthly themed donuts. They have jack-o-laterns, footballs, apples, and of course Valentine hearts. Yesterday I got the joyous occasion to eat one of the Valentine heart donuts. Not only was it beautiful but tasted amazing.
I’m a huge fan of their themed donuts because for some reason they don’t glaze these first. All the other donuts are glazed all over and then iced with frosting and sprinkled or filled. Way to sweet even for an addict like me. The themed ones are just plain old donut with icing and sprinkles. Perfection.
As an interesting side note. I worked for 3 years in a donut shop when I was young. We could eat as many donuts as we wanted for free. Everyone always said I’d eventually get tired of them. Wrong! 😉
This week was a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Everything in life seems a million times worse when you face it on 2 hours sleep. I’ve learned to just keep putting one foot in front of the other and move forward. Thankfully I realized that it was sleep deprivation and not my world really falling apart. Phew. In case you missed some of the excitement:
- I started the February adventure in the Even Happier Quest (The timing couldn’t have been more perfect.)
- I found a new gadget for my kitchen and made lemon pepper faux fried chicken
- I went up the ladder and back down during my workouts
- I pondered if food preferences and tastes were more nature or nurture
- I continued a mid-week ritual to give myself something to look forward to
- I busted out a huge workout with Herculean effort (and rewarded myself with the world’s best bagel.)
I also wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to my tweeps. I haven’t met any of them in person, but their support during my ups and downs is beyond expectation and beyond amazing. I couldn’t have done it without you guys and am grateful to have you in my life – Jeris, Suz, Doug, and Sophie.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and may you be blessed with tweeps like mine.
