Each time we start a yoga class, the teacher reminds us to set our intention for the class. What do we want to get out of it that class? Not out of yoga in general or that month, but just that class. Live in the moment, decide what you want from it, and focus just on that.
I thought that was a pretty cool idea and I started doing it. Some days it’s focusing on perfect alignment even if I don’t touch the floor with my hands. Other days it’s get through class because it’s good for me. I’ve also started doing it in other things.
No, not everything because that would be weird. Can you imagine? What is your intention for this movie you’re about to watch? 😉 I do it on things like my day or even my week. I take a couple minutes after the alarm goes off and figure out what I want out of the day. Give it a try. It’s kinda cool.
If you missed anything this week, here’s the run down:
- The Kid and I got our zen on and found something fun to do for The Happiness Project
- Josh Groban and I made a delicious beef dish that I ate three times this week *
- I named a Crossfit WOD after myself and envision people posting their Adrianne times
- The Kid and I laughed at pictures in workout books at the B&N because they were silly
- I decided to embark on a Mission Impossible towards my Impossible Dream
- I let you in on a secret about my motivation for exercising on cold, dark, rainy evenings
* Note: Josh Groban didn’t really help me make dinner but his name did influence me trying the recipe. He’s more than welcome to come over any time he wants to cook for me though.
I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!
