Welcome to Week 10 of Project Bad A$$! This is the final week and the last ab update for a while. I’ve managed to put on a bit of muscle since starting 2 1/2 months ago. I definitely look more defined than before. Funny, I weigh more now than at the beginning. Goes to show you to ignore the scale! (I’m still working on this myself.)
It was interesting to experiment with different food macros – low carb/high fat, low fat/high carb, etc and see what it did to muscle definition. It was also fun to change up the workouts too and try new things like lifting heavier some days with lower reps and lighter weights with higher reps others. I set quite a few new PRs along the way.
I’ve got a planned workout vacation coming up starting Friday this week. I’m still going to be cooking, baking, and enjoying life. I’m not going anywhere. Just no working out other than walking Thing Two for a while. It’s good mentally and physically to take a break every now and then.
I’m going to make a list of new things to try out in the downtime so I don’t go stir crazy. So far I’ve done things like crossfit, yoga, skydiving, spinning, paddleboarding and aqua bootcamp. The list goes on. I’m definitely staying with the lifting and working towards my next contest, but looking for something to try out on my non-lifting days.
Maybe rock climbing? Hmm. If you have any ideas, send them my way. I’m always looking for things to try out. I’ve also got to set some new goals to work towards for when I get back at it.
We’re coming up on the end of the year. Do you make a list of New Year’s Resolutions or do you just wing it? (Yes, I realize it’s not even Thanksgiving. I’m planning early. :-))
